I don't think occupying the intersections is a good idea. It's going to make the people trying to get to their destinations mad at ys and create a negative image about the Occupy LA. We should instead occupy in front of banks and corporate offices or stay on the side walks.

Agreed, Occupying Intersections is Provocateur Behavior

Occupying an intersection is illegal (unless you have a permit) and also violates the civil rights of other people. It is also the type of protest behavior that is instigated by Agents Provocateurs -- because it is sure to get you arrested, sure to turn the people against you, and often sure to result in unfriendly police contact. I URGE Occupy LA to kick out any "leadership" that is planning or taking you on marches that block intersections.
I provide legal information that is factual and real. That has led to me being blocked off the Occupy LA website, off the Occupy LA Twitter, and apparently, from my blog being removed here on this page. ALso, I have been harassed by lots of CRAZIES on here, to say the least. I persist in trying to bring Occupy LA solid info because it is OBVIOUS there are people among you (and on these pages) trying to turn your protest violent and illegal. Best wishes.

intersections other than to piss people off and get arrested for no real purpose.
(Defending a foreclosed home or an encampment seems like a better reason to risk be arrested)
If the sidewalks of an intersection are filled with people carrying signs, and people there use the cross walks at every cycle, plenty of people will see the signs and remember the protest.
