There is much agreement with certain proposals found here, but unfortunately reaching unanimous consensus has proven to be a difficult, if not impossible, task. There will be more on this subject, city leaders and unidentified “representatives” meeting with the city according to the Times. But what is the source for reliable information regarding meetings that have taken place over the last two weeks? At this point, it seems to be anyone who has sources at City Hall minus quotes from the participants. This is not conducive to reaching an “agreement” because no one knows what is being discussed or how resolutions are presented or considered. Let’s see how this plays out, knowing that the encampment is filled with diverse opinions and many have grievances that are unrelated to the Occupation Movement.

Occupy protests: Shop mom-and-pop on Black Friday
Here’s an idea. Don’t spend Thanksgiving night pushing, shoving and waiting in line for something you can probably buy online for less anyway. Some retailers like Target and Wal Mart are opening their doors at ungodly hours as if to demonstrate how mindless consumerism makes fools out of everyone involved, especially the retailers who have ordered their employees to sacrifice family time for this insult to the holiday spirit. Mom and Pop wouldn’t ask you to leave your kids at home in the middle of the night for an opportunity to join an unruly crowd of people who want to get out, and back home, as soon as they can.
