Women's Affinity Group

Hello! If you are interested in this topic, but perhaps haven't seen the meeting times listed on the wipe boards at the welcome tables, the third gathering / meeting of women so far involved will take place Friday, 3 p.m. on the West Steps. We operate under consensus (of course); do not limit the definition of "woman" to CIS-only; and use a combination of in-person and electronic communication to accomodate those who are not on-site around the clock (so far we have a mix of campers and volunteers). Please come check us out and bring your ideas! We are aiming for actionable proposals rather than strictly social.

So myself and a few people have been working on starting a Women's Affinity group since last week. I'm not trying to shut you down or anything, just letting you know so that maybe we can merge or work together. You can get in touch with me at theblondesicilian@gmail.com. That makes yours the third one we've learned about, all blossoming within the past week! This is awesome. I know one is supposed to meet today (Friday) at 4; what day/time does yours meet? We should all talk!

Wide Interest Indicates Need

Yes, three so far that I know of. The Women & Allies group had a very successful first meeting today in the Kid's Camp. I could only stay for the first half-hour due to other duties, but they had a lot of energy.

I was told another group is meeting at 4 p.m. Saturday, also in the Kid's Camp. I can't find my notes about the third group, but I think it involved Monday... Check the wipe boards? I plan to do so!

There should be lots of reaching out to each other. It's all embryonic at this stage; whether it will all shake out into one group or a collective with differing areas of emphasis but working together toward the same goal, who can say? Making the effort is the first step!
