Whether driving to work listening to the radio or walking through the aisles of my neighborhood Rite Aid, I have been subjected to non-stop Christmas tunes... and it's not even Thanksgiving! It used to be that both retailers and radio disc jockeys would respect the traditional timeframe-- Turkey Day 'til Christmas Day, but no longer. It's all-out psychological warfare to get people into the buying spirit and to goose some early sales. Many retailers have taken this a step further, and are opening late on Thanksgiving Day, 9 p.m. for Toys "R" Us and 10 p.m.
