2 Killed in Fiery Oakland Two-Car Crash on International Boulevard

Oakland, California (August 22, 2016) – According to a local news source, two children died and two adults were severely injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle accident in Oakland.

The fiery crash took place at around 8:38 p.m. August 18 on International Boulevard and 55th Avenue. As per the report, two vehicles, a Chrysler 300 heading westbound and a Chevrolet HHR also traveling eastbound collided as the later turned onto 55th Avenue.

A total of five people aboard the two vehicles sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Among them were two children, an 11-year-old and a 6-year old both of whom were taken to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

The two children died moments later while both drivers and another passenger were in stable condition.

Authorities are still investigating the deadly crash. However, they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role.
