I found out through a friend about some arrests up in Oakland I wasn't very familiar with. So tonight I looked up the charges and the case and was disgusted. Three of Occupy Oaklands occupiers were accused of theft, and jailed on $100,000 bond. One is still in and could not be bailed out. Oakland has started a letter wiring campaign to him to keep his spirits up, and I think it would be nice if we joined in. If you know of anyone else who is in jail for Occupy related charges, if it is ok with them, you can post their info for letters as well, and what they are being charged with.

If we ever come to this kind of situation here in Los Angeles, I hope we do the same for our comrades. Jail is rough. The charges those arrested are receiving are trumped up, and seemingly getting worse. We need to support each other because soon we will see the same thing as Oakland, and NYC, where they are targeting occupiers. That is if they haven't started already.
