Body I:

7:25 pm:  Follow your own heart, that's what this movement is formed from.

7:25 pm:  One thing to think about is Wall Street... We'll make our nation stronger, That's what the government will support.

7:26 pm:  We are created in a state of love and peace. It doesn't matter what religion you are.  ....Everybody's going to have differences and we fight among each other... ....love peace unity and everything [else] is going to form itself from there.

7:29 pm:  Too often we talk about what we are going to do when the cops get here. Consider why you are here and be pro-active about it.

7:30 pm:  Alifa , I think that the main word that we are hearing is "respect".. ...Believe in ourselves and know who we are. Respect each other.

[FACILITATIONS COMMITTEE MEMBER (On the steps) CLICKS ON A MICROPHONE]

7: 31 pm, Alejandro, People’s Forum Moderator:  I know you are a Facilitator of the GA... ...This is not the GA... ...We're trying to hear what other people have to say instead of what you people have to say.

[SOMEONE IN “THE PEOPLE’S FORUM” YELLS] NO! DO NOT MIKE CHECK BACK!

I will lay down my life to another person… keep faith  …I believe in y’all.

10:03 pm, John I’ve done this since the sixties and I wanted to change the world but they don’t want us to change the world. They are inevitably wanting to go and shut this down. When that [happens] we need people to come down here and protest [that] action.

10:05 Jeremy, I want to honor all the people here and also all the people on the north side who came back here. …It creates a more powerful synergy. …What happened to the people in Oakland… we’re sick of it. Thank you Barry for reminding us that this is the tenth anniversary of the ‘Patriot Act’. I want to say I’m a radical. But I’m not leftist or rightist but a radical middle … the middle is everything in between. Reminder not to be closed down into your ideological boxes. [heckler: “I have ides but ideas don’t want me]. To you greeters if you sick the people on the 99% of us. We want to start targeting banks, we are passing around a sign up sheet for who wants to go shut down banks every days. You know they shut down whenever we’re around. We are going to shut them down one by one.

10:22 pm:  The La times cited problems with the law and problems with the media. None of that is why they would shut us down. The serious problem we have established for them is not sanitation, health … it is the one’s participating in illegal drugs and theft. You will be remembered. I am not a  part of this movement but I know that you will be remembered for fucking this movement up. [COMMOTION IN THE BACK] You will be remembered for being the ones who fucked this up.

10:27 pm:  Be sure we are Occupy Tribe first. You can have a Love Tribe or a Welcome, Come-Here-and-Look-at-My-Dick Tribe. But you are Occupy. There is now a proposal for a Shut-th-(EXPLETIVE)-Up Tribe.

We have no voting mechanism. 11 am tomorrow at the fountain we are going to have a scouting party for warehouses.

10:32 pm, Jesse, Tomorrow I’m going to have a proposal to ‘Get-the-Money-Out’. It’s at GetTheMoneyOut Dot Com. Yes we do want to change the government.

10:34 pm. For those who want to perform an act of solidarity tonight… I am abandoning my tent tonight and I’m going to be on the oNrth Side and sleep on the sidewalk in solidarity with the homeless.

10:36 pm, I don’t know what has to be done about the time. At one time the Earth was one beautiful paradise. We believe in ancient myths, we believe… …and we want to get back to that paradise. …But in order to …We have to get the  US to obey the laws about International wars. We need to put a handle on genocide. We also need to get rid of weapons of mass destruction. Why should we have to vote for Bush or Obama to make these things happen… let’s get these things done. We don’t need a politician to get them done. We want to do something about the banks…it’s ridiculous. We want to take care of the homeless. We have GMO foods, We need some type  of economic system to make sure that people  have enough. And to be free from jail, we want some kind of healthcare system; or, alternative healthcare. We need an educational system that shows respect for children and teach the real history, not the lies about history.

10: 47 pm, John:  Thank you all this is really beautiful this is great.

This is the one year anniversary when I got out of the Navy. Got out and now I’m homeless. I lived in skid row and I sold drugs. I was so complacent about selling drugs. I woke up one day and found myself in jail. You know how we can end all this. [A MAN WALKS BY]  Hey, I’ll give you everything in my pocket [HE EMPTIES MONEY OUT OF HIS POCKET INTO THE MAN’S HAND]. Can any of y’all do that… …Hey did you know the Rothschilds have 41 palaces around the world? [CONTINUED…]

[IT IS 10:50 PM AND THERE ARE STILL MANY PEOPLE HERE, SOME TALKING OFF IN SMALL GROUPS IN A STEADY HUM. THE REGULAR GA HAS CHANGED]

[CONTINUED FROM ABOVE] Yes I’m going keep talking. [CROWD  CHIMES IN KEEP TALKING]

[SOMEONE CUTS THE MICROPHONE OFF] [A LADY] Are you kidding?... the man has a right to talk.

[HE IS HANDED A MEGAPHONE and CONTINUES TO TALK] [INCOHERENT] [NOW YELLING IN THE CROWD] [EVERYBODY YELLING RANDOM THOUGHTS] Shut up, let’s watch the move, we need, to go, this is a riot, now this was a real GA…

[A PRE – GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING BEGAN ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE THE SCHEDULED GENERAL ASSEMBLY, ITS NAME “THE PEOPLE’S FORUM”.]

7:31 pm: Stick together or we all fall down.

7:32 pm: We are one human family... ...even the stoners and the talkers... ...Before we can speak through all the channels we agree to be in this together and not judge each other saying that that's not good or bad. I am here because I'm supposed to and you too.

7:34 pm: God Bless you.

[ALEJANDRO CONTINUES TO FACILITATE GIVING THE FLOOR]

We have to start [talking] about a strategy... ...stay united ...act like a family.

7:35 pm, Eric Adams: I am here because I love what you are doing.. ... I wouldn't worry about the police issue. We should all keep together.

7:39 pm: [FROM THE MICROPHONE ON THE SOUTH STEPS] Mike Check!

[SOMEONE IN “THE PEOPLE’S FORUM” YELLS] NO! DO NOT MIKE CHECK BACK!

7:40 pm: I heard Mayor Villiaraigosa is planning to move us because he's concerned with health and safety. That is, the Police wanted to come here to help us but they can't. You should have heard the media telling how peaceful and respectful we are. If cameras are here be respectful. pretend like your mom or grandma is watching because she [/they] will be watching.

7:45 pm, Esteban, Facilitations: We were going to do a GA and have a meeting.

These problems are not going to be solved over night. Good job.
