October 11th 2011 General Assembly notes
-Committee Group Proposals that reached consensus
1. Actions: October 20th at 3:45pm, participants will partake in a March against Pension Funds given to large corporations instead of the public.
1. Actions: October 18th at 4pm, participants will partake in a March joining teachers against underfunding and layoffs. (more information at the welcome tent)
2. Actions: October 13th at 12 noon participants will partake in a March to Bank of America to reach out and make people aware of the Global revolution. Please meet at the South West Corner.
-Committee Group Proposals that did not reach consensus
1. Facilitators: Proposes that the proposal process remains the same except during break out sessions and encourages blockers/proposers/and moderators discuss issues to work through the block. Afterwards if the block remains the proposal will be tabled until the next day so that the minority opinion has a chance to be heard and modified. If 90% rough consensus is reached then the proposal passes. Furthermore proposals will be required on paper the day before the General Assembly and made available at the welcome tent to promote awareness and transparency.

1. On October 22nd participants will assemble at Persian Square at 2pm and will march to McCarther Park for a rally against police brutality.

1. Occupy Los Angeles will be independent and not accept donations from multimillion dollar Parties and Corporations as well as Candidates that accept these donations. Also asks that individuals refrain from electioneering within the Occupy Los Angeles boundaries.
-Committee Announcements and Updates
• Security: Several incidents of bikes, guitars, and jewelry being stolen, please watch each other's things.
• Welcome: Needs volunteers to give OccupyLA tours in 2hr shifts. Walkways need at least 4ft. of space to make us wheel chair accessible and we are still in need of tents.
• Actions: In need of bilingual people to help support OccupyLA during actions.
• Food: need volunteers to work 6hr shifts who will be trained about health codes, please refer to the food tent if you wish to help.
• Outreach: Official flyers have been have been made for our use to promote outreach.
• Education and Research: An Economics class will be held at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, participants will meet at the fountain on the south side. Also a class about the "Corruption in Voting" will be given at 2pm, meet by the fountain.
• Zero Waste: It is a personal responsibility to keep our home clean. Please donate re-usable cups, bowls, plates and silverware.
• City liaison: South Lawn Events include a Farmer's Market on thursday the 13th and a Music/Speaker presentation on Saturday the 15th.
-Affinity Group Announcements and Updates
• Keep it Real Party: Now endorsing all creative/artistic movements and actions.
• Neighborhood Council: there will be a march thursday the 13th from 39th and Crenshaw to Bank of America.
• Civic Engagement: the city has produced a list of banks that will work with the city in the future, Bonds for Banks. This action has been deferred back for 45 days.
• Translations: In need of participants.
• Social Services: In need of volunteers with a good heart and a good ear to help with therapy here on-sight. They meet at 6pm on the south side. Also they need cleaning supplies to clean out used tents.
• Occupation Communication: Over 100 people were arrested in Boston but all charges were dropped. Also this group is in need of participants to communicate with other occupancies.
• Indigenous Peoples: Meeting at 6:30pm by the fountain.
• PR Team: is working on 2 press releases. One for the Occupy College Movement as well as one for the Global Day Movement.

October 10th 2011 General Assembly notes
-Committee Group Proposals that reached consensus
1. Actions Committee proposes that participants support the 12,000 prisoners and their families that are currently on a hunger strike with a candle light vigil thursday October 13th at the North Steps.
2. Actions Committee proposes that on October 14th at 4:30 pm, participants march in solidarity with the 250 workers that were laid off from Hotel Bel-air. Buses will take participants to the Hotel Bel-air at 3:30 from city hall and will return at 7 pm.
-Committee Announcements and Updates
• Media : Anyone with digital data, please pre-edit your content to streamline the post production process.
• Zero Waste: Please help us keep clean and green. Please refrain from graffiti and littering, also hanging signs from trees and poles.
• Medical: In need of an Automatic Defibrillator, 3AAA batteries, Pepto bismal, Condoms, gloves, underwear of all sizes, and a better lamp to operate during the night.
• Security: In need of volunteers to keep us all safe.
• Demands/Objectives: has a suggestion box at the welcome tent. They will now have a liaison with the Action committee. Attempt to list new demands online, this will not be a definitive list. They meet everyday at 5:30pm on the east side steps, 5pm orientation for newcomers.
• Education and Research: will open a "People's Collective University" with classes everyday. They are in need of teachers and translators which can be trained. "Building the Modern Economy" will meet for classes everyday at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on the west side lawn.
• Outreach: meets at 6pm next to the welcome tent and are in need of participants.
• Welcome: needs the meeting times for all committees and asks that everyone cuts down on waste and picks up trash.
• Action: Needs participants and is planning a mass divestment for banks.
• Web: Free wi/fi at the on-sight library, ask Librarian for the key.
• Finance: donations go directly to the finance committee, they are in need of tents.
• Zero Wast: Make sure discards are properly thrown away. They meet at 4pm on the north steps for those that wish to help participate. They are in need of volunteers and more bins.
• Food: Health inspectors have been inspecting our food/feeding process in an attempt to shut us down. Please follow procedures to secure our occupation by: Not touching the food and allowing food handlers serve you. They cannot take anymore donations after 9pm.

• Indigenous Peoples: meet at 6:30pm next to the fountain.
• Production: The International Pirates Party has chosen to endorse Occupy Los Angeles. OccupyLA will soon offer a Soap Box to promote exercising your right to freedom of expression. Report to the TyeDye TeePee to get involved with this committee.
• Prints: 99% large printing screens will be back and operational soon. They are always excepting more clothes/donations.

1. Actions Committee proposes that Tuesday the 11th there be a small candle light vigil in remembrance of Jamye Rodemyre.

1. Actions Committee proposes to that on next Tuesday participants honk throughout LA 99 times at 9:09 am and pm.
2. Actions Committee proposes that on October 14th at 4:30 pm, participants march in solidarity with the 250 workers that were laid off from Hotel Bel-air.

1. Committees will try to stagger meeting times so people who work during the day can participate more.
-Committee Announcements and Updates
• Security updates us on trying to resolve the transparency issue they are having. They are in constant communication with the LAPD and the police have no reason to be worried about the occupants. Graffiti is becoming an issue, security asks that people refrain from writing on donated bathrooms. Also if you see something, say something. Security wants occupants to know that they are here for de-escalation, not to police.

October 8th 2011 General Assembly notes
-Committee Group Proposals that reached consensus
1. Demands/Objectives Committee passes a proposal that Occupy Los Angeles formerly endorses the “Declaration of the occupy of New York”. This endorsement does not endorse its ability to reform and add further modifications.
2. Actions/Outreach Committee will occupy the Hollywood and Vine as well as Hollywood and Highland. The Mall will also be occupied. Flyers will be provided. The reason for this action is to make those people aware of the presence Occupy Los Angeles is. Participants will leave City Hall at 11AM.

1. Actions/Outreach proposes to have a march Friday October 13th. Consensus was not reached.
-Affinity Group Proposals that reached consensus
1. Zero Waste Committee passes a proposal for all occupants of Occupy Los Angeles to pick up trash while in action as well as when occupying on site at Occupy Los Angeles.
-Individual Proposals that did not reach consensus
1. Julia proposes that Occupy Los Angeles take a pledge to remain independent from political parties and corporate support.
-Committee Announcements and Updates
1. Medical announces that they need Blood Pressure Testers and stethoscopes, miscellaneous medical supplies. You can distinguish medical volunteers by a red cross on their persons. The medical committee also offers training if you wish to become a volunteer.
2. Media announces that at 10AM, committees should send point people to the media tent to share agendas for the day so they can send videographers to sight.
3. Research and Education would like a place off sight to work. If anyone has information on a place, please contact the Research and Education Committee. Preferably cat friend.
4. Outreach will now be at the welcome tent at 10AM.

October 7th 2011 General Assembly
Proposals that reached consensus
1. Facilities Committee proposal
· Facilitator’s Committee asks that during the general assemblies, participants/audience members make isles up the sides and the middle of the crowd to allow audience members to approach stackers easier.
2. Facilitators Committee Proposal
· The Facilitators committee asks that the occupants recognize the difference between a functioning committee and that of an affinity thematic group. More information can be found at the welcome tent.
3. Outreach Proposals-
• Outreach asks that everyone participates in a moment of silence for 99 seconds tomorrow in respect for all the lives lost at the hands of capital greed. This will take place at 2pm October 8th 2011.
4.Outreach committee proposal
· Outreach committee asks that participant’s take part in a march October 15th on global day. It will go to the financial district. Spring street will be closed off and there will be speakers that are occupants. Participants will assemble at 10 am ,leave at noon(12) and return at 4 pm.
4. Outreach Committee Proposal
On October 10th at 6pm we will participate with the good jobs America along with SC14 for a candle light vigil. It will take place at broadway and analism.(If the senate doesn’t pass the American Jobs act there will be a March at noon.)
5. Affinity Group Proposals
The indigenous peoples affinity group will participate in a per session at noon (12) on October 13th. It will span 2 hours long and go from occupy los angeles to downtown.
