Airbags Deployed in Highway 4 and Bailey Road Multi-Vehicle Collision in Bay Point

Bay Point, California (February 7, 2017) – An unknown number of persons were injured, and airbags were deployed in a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning in Bay Point, according to a CHP report.

The incident occurred at about 8.22 a.m. yesterday morning on the westbound Highway 4 just west of Bailey Road off-ramp.

CHP officials said that a total of four vehicles were involved in the accident. The vehicles were described as a blue Lexus, a green Honda, a Dodge Charger, and a Yukon.  

Further, the report indicated that airbags were deployed in two vehicles involved in the crash.

A green Honda sustained major damage to its rear-end and moderate damage to the front-end.

Firefighters responded to the scene and found a female party lying down.

A SigAlert was issued blocking the first and the second and the westbound Highway 4 at Bailey Road for an unspecified period.


The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
