Two Pedestrians Hospitalized after They Were Hit and Injured By Car in San Diego

San Diego, California (January 10, 2017) – A 56-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were hospitalized Monday evening after they were struck and injured by a car in San Diego.

The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m.  when a Nissan Maxima driven by a 31-year-old man exited a driveway onto the 5900 block of Rancho Mission Boulevard where it struck two pedestrians.

The woman sustained fractures to her collarbone and ribs, and a 7-inch laceration to her head.

The man had a fractured and dislocated left shoulder, and also head abrasions to his stomach, left elbow and both feet.

The two victims were taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital for treatment. 


The crash remained under investigation.
