Ukiah Woman Erika Tyler Dies After Large Tree Crashes Into Her Home

Ukiah, California (January 24, 2017) – A 35-year-old woman died early Saturday morning after a large tree crashed into her home in Ukiah, according to an article by the Merced Sun-Star.

The accident took place between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan 21 when a large Oak tree crashed into a house and killed Erika Tyler. Tyler’s boyfriend and his son were sleeping next to her but were able to escape.

According to the article, Erika’s mother said that her daughter feared the tree and had mentioned it to her over a dozen times.


Reportedly, Erika had told the owners of the house to remove the tree, but the landlords declined and told her it was too expensive.
