Woman Burned By Flaming Beverage During New Year’s Party At a Santa Ana Bar

Santa Ana, California (January 2, 2016) – A woman was burned during a New Year’s Party in a Santa Ana Bar after a bartender lit a liquor, according to the Orange County Register.

The incident occurred at about 12:25 p.m. at Lola Gaspar restaurant at 211 West Send Street.

Reportedly, the bartender was performing a trick by setting fire on a beverage when fire accidentally burned a woman’s face and hair. The woman was watching the bartender playing the trick just after the countdown to the New Years Day at the time of the incident.

Fire personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene and transported the injured woman to a local hospital.

The report did not indicate the severity of the injuries sustained by the woman.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.


No other person was hurt in the incident which remains under investigation.
