Hello Folks! This fundraising page is here to obtain money to send as many Angelinos as possible to New York for the one year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street. We are living with the unfortunate circumstance of having a government that would rather cater to big transnational companies than help it's people. The government gave trillions of our dollars to big banks when they (the banks) purposely played the system by going broke. They did this as a move to further their ends: making money. Since this has happened, as a direct effect, millions of people have been made homeless in illegal foreclosures and funding for public programs that we all take part in; education from the beginning (kindergarten) to the end (colleges and universities) has seen a drastic loss in funding. We are still in an endless war for oil and the only people profiting are the oil companies and the military industrial complex.

        We as Occupy Los Angeles want to go to New York as a part of a global day of action to give our bodies and our voices in support of the people trying to get their government to work for them and not a handful of corporate executives. Please give as generously as possible so that we can go and support our peaceful comrades from all over the world in New York on September 17th.

        We are trying to get 3 charter buses to ferry us across the continent so that we can support the people who are making a stand for the systematic atrocities that have been committed by the corporate conglomerates that have resulted in the homelessness/displacement of countless families who cannot be out in the streets with us to make that stand because they are too busy trying to scrape together a living for them and their children. We also march for a better government for the people and for our children and grandchildren. Please support us in our efforts for this is a long struggle that benefits us all.
