Syrian-Occupy LA protest

Forums:

Dear activists,

I would like first to express my solidarity with the cause that all people who live in the US are facing nowadays. We have been suffering from being "robbed legally" by some banks and companies.

The Syrians as you know have been going through difficulties in the past 8 months. They are facing one of the most violent, aggressive, brutal, and bloody regime in the world (Bashar Assad's regime). Syrians are being killed, detained, and disappeared because they only want freedom, real representation, and a heard voice. The free Syrians in Southern California and especially in Greater Area of LA have been supporting their brothers and sisters in Syria. One of the means that we are using to do so is by protesting every week or bi-weekly.

As Syrians-Americans we want to combine both nationalities' demands and reach it to everybody. We want to express our love and sympathy to our original country as well as express our condemnation and support (as US citizens) to the tremendous movement that is being flying nationwide.

It will be really amazing if both of us designed a nice march in downtown LA during December.

Sincerely,

Firas

P.S.
We have multiple organizations here in Southern California which are Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) and Syrian American Council (SAC). We have designed a coordination to have all organizations under one umbrella which is called "Syrian Coordination Committee in Southern California"
