msnbc ran this great story about the Sergio lynching charges situation:

 The other night, I sent msnbc an email asking them to run a story on this situation, and giving info, including reminding them that Sergio Ballesteros had appeared on one of their news talk shows just a few days prior.  They assigned the story to a Kari Huus, a wonderful writer who did a great job.

I think getting mainstream press for things like this is essential --  the power of the press is very strong.

TIPS - If you want to get news stories - Contact people by email. Contact the exact correct people who can do the story or assign the story.  Use your real name and be sure your email address uses your real name too.  Keep your email very short and provide useful info.  Provide contact info.  Provide links to helpful things.  IN this case, I provided a link to my blog where i explained about lynching law and also included a link back to their own story with Sergio in it.  Provide factual information moreso than opinion.

 I never watch mainstream media -- but I know the power of it.
