Margot on the scene: Wells Fargo meets with occupiers

Margot Paez of Insightoutnews.org was on the scene yesterday when occupiers met with Wells Fargo representatives. Cheryl Aichele, Carlos Marroquin, Mark Lipman and others attended the undefined meet-up which is chronicled here:

So if you subtract the alleged overtime which has been questioned by many, the cost of the occupation to the city is a rather minuscule amount. If we also subtract the maintenance costs to the lawn for the two months occupiers were camped there we can come up with a calculation that is at least as accurate as the bullshit the city put over on the lapdog media. No lawn mowers, trimming, or water was required to destroy the lawn, so subtracting whatever the cost to maintain it for two months may have actually saved the city money when one considers that “drought-resistant” landscaping is a renovation that can hardly be assigned to occupiers.

Thanks to LA Downtown News for demonstrating that once again, the alternative media is necessary not only for the traditional reasons associated with the U.S. Constitution, but also as a means of correcting some of the bullshit we encounter daily from the mainstream (lapdog) media. Now we can start working on a bill to present to city leaders for services rendered, and figure out a way to get them to return the stolen artwork and property that was deemed garbage after the raid.

Yeah, that's what they do. And it has become obvious that law enforcement is targeting members of the alternative media that have had the audacity to question the status quo; that is that many of our institutions, government, media and financial, are clearly collaborative in their efforts to suppress general knowledge about the various scams described here and elsewhere. So who gets the heat?

Law enforcement has been used in many questionable endeavors, kettling, raiding, confiscating property, punishing, torturing arrestees by depriving them restroom facilities, and so on. Are we supposed to forget that members of the alternative media have clearly been targeted since we began shedding some light on the malfeasance and/or criminality of certain banking executives and politicians? These people aren't stupid. They know that the media effort is the key; that we are talking about issues that have been buried under a mountain of tripe that you can find daily by turning on your TV. How would you like to be a banking executive looking at prison time if it comes to pass that your criminality won't be excused by a laughable settlement arrangement with your alleged regulators?

In all likelihood, the banking and financial services executives have much more to fear than Malcolm Harris, but it is Harris that is targeted. Why? Can we start to make a list of criminal offenses committed against occupiers, especially those who have taken it upon themselves to help spread the OWS message in the media environment?

The levers of government, the tools of control in any police state is the threat of arrest and imprisonment for dissident behavior. So framing their attacks on media members must be shrouded in another phony scenario of illegal activity, just like the cost-to-the-city yarn regarding the lawn. If enough bullshit is “reported” by the mainstream media, somehow it becomes factual in the minds of the sheep who aren't inclined to question what they are told. And of course this tends to deflect attention from the real issues, the culpability and liability of the financial wizards that systematically stole the savings, homes, jobs and economic future of so many Americans since the 2008 meltdown, and continue to do so today.

So we are treated to the headline story about Malcolm Harris, suspect. We don't know what he's “suspected” of doing that was illegal, but the real stories, the ones that pertain to all Americans that don't happen to be members of the 1%, are pushed aside while we try and figure out what Malcolm might have done to deserve this bullshit subpoena; a fishing expedition by Bloomberg, NYPD, and prosecutors that are obliged to find a way to put the alternative media behind bars for obvious reasons.

Occupiers from So Cal are going to trek across the country on foot. Yep, that's what they are telling us, and a simple calculation tells us that it will probably take most of a year to do it. It s a great way to draw attention to the message, and another creative form of protest that will test the stamina of this group.

Roseanne Barr is running as a Green Party candidate for President California Secretary of State Deb Bowen confirmed. The 2012 presidential campaign keeps getting better and better. First a bunch of comical, and inane, malaprops from Republicans, now the professionals stepping up to show them how it's done. Go Roseanne!
