Description:
The Japanese Prime Minister announced his approval of restarting Ooi Reactors. The Japanese people have called for solidarity all over the world. Join us at the Japanese Embassy in downtown L.A.
PLAN: To meet on the public sidewalk outside CA Plaza on 350 S. Grand Ave. side, facing the street. Before we gather at 3PM at this location with home-made NO NUKES signs, a few of us will have delivered a letter to the Prime minister's representative. At 4:00 PM, we will participate in a collective Die-in (thus the Silence being observed), where we'll re-enact what it is like to suffer from deadly radiation exposure. Body painting will be available to make people look like we are bleeding from our orifices (symptom of radiation exposure).
This SOLIDARITY ACTION is called for by Hideyuki BAN, Citizens’ Nuclear Information Center (CNIC), Kanna MITSUTA, FoE Japan, Aileen Mioko SMITH, Green Action Daisuke SATO, No Nukes Asia Forum, Akira KAWASAKI, Peace Boat, Kaori IZUMI, Shut Tomari.
