    School Bus Collides with Stalled Minivan on State Route 134 near I-5 Freeway in Altadena

    Los Angeles, California (January 13, 2017) –According to a California Highway Patrol report, several people were hospitalized after a school bus collided with a stalled vehicle in the HOV lane of Highway 134 Thursday morning in  Altadena.

    The crash occurred at about 6:14 a.m. near Interstate 5 Freeway.

    Reportedly, a white sedan became stalled in the slow lane when the school bus crashed into it. As per the report, the lane was flooded at the time of the accent.

    Officials said that 15 people were taken to St. Joseph Hospital for the treatment of unspecified injuries. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

    The bus sustained major front-end damage, and about 20 feet of a bridge rail was damaged in the accident.

    A SigAlert was issued for the third and fourth lanes for about 1 hour.

    Tow trucks were requested to the scene to help in removing the vehicles from blocking the roadway.

     The incident remains under investigation.
