• Phyllis Talbot Struck and Killed by Car on Chula Vista 805 Freeway Off-Ramp

    UPDATE:  The woman killed after getting out of her car in Chula Vista has been identified.

    51-year-old Chula Vista woman Phyllis Meral Talbot was standing outside her Lincoln sedan when she was struck by a Toyota Corolla. 

    The impact of the car threw her about 45 feet. Talbot was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Chula Vista, California (February 3, 2017) –According to a California Highway Patrol report, a woman, about 50 years old,  died Thursday evening after she was struck by a vehicle while standing outside her car.

    At about 7 p.m. yesterday, a Lincoln Town Car driven by a female driver got a flat tire forcing her to pull over to the right shoulder of the northbound Interstate 805 Freeway ramp to Bonita Road. The woman then got out of the vehicle and was standing near the car when a Toyota Camry struck her.

    The victim, who remains unidentified, was sadly declared dead at the scene.


    The police closed the Offramp as the investigated the fatal crash.
