Thanksgiving: I hate this "Holiday"

A year ago today, I was living on the lawn of Los Angeles City Hall. Occupy Los Angeles was in full swing, and was having a huge potluck celebration. Last year I chose to fast for the day, in solidarity with the indigenous peoples, and we had planned activities throughout the day.

Giving Thanks: Personal Perspective

I write this blog speaking for myself and no one else.

Today is day 55 of Occupy Los Angeles, and we are now facing eviction in the coming week. Today is known to many as "Thanksgiving" but the holiday as it is known to many is a farce. So instead today we celebrate "Giving Thanks" along side our indigenous committee.
